How to Algorithm Proof Your Message

If you’re growing a business online, I’m sure you heard that Instagram recently explained new changes to their algorithm.

Which has small businesses shaking their heads in dismay with a….

“They changed the algorithm again?!?!”

It’s like when you finally find the perfect shade of lipstick and they discontinue it.

Or when you finally get used to writing 2021 when you sign a document, and here comes 2022.

When you finally feel like you’ve mastered the algorithim, and they change it.

Ugh. So frustrating.

Then you’re just posting all of the time and not seeing results.

But what if, there was an algorithm proof way to attract your clients to your business, without fancy funnels, and without cold dms?

Is that something you’d want to know about?

I’m going to assume if you’re still reading, it’s a yes.

HERE ARE THREE STEPS TO ALGORITHM PROOF YOUR MESSAGE.

1. Build relationships with your followers.

Be curious about your followers and what they are going through. These are real people on the other side of the screen, and whether they ever pay to work with you or not, foster a genuine relationship with them. Learn about what makes them tick, what they fear, what youtube black holes they find themselves in at three am. It’s pretty likely, that if your audience is well niched, learning about the individual, will help you learn about the group.

2. Let go of vanity metrics.

You may notice that I don’t have a huge following. That I don’t have a huge group, I don’t have 100,000 email subscribers…yet. And that’s a-okay. You don’t need to be an influencer to be impactful and help people. You need to be in front of the people you can help.

3. Get grounded and lead from your why.

When we are ungrounded, we get pulled in every direction by every person. We see someone post something that gets engagement, and think, “ohhhhh, I should make a similar post.” Then we do it, and it falls flat. WHY?!?! Because we don’t have the same humans in front of us and it has nothing to do with WHY we do what we do. Your audience is going on a journey with you through your content, and if you understand the psychology behind why people do what they do, you’ll be able to serve them better.

This framework is a great start but it’s also important to have a plan and support.

If you are looking to grow your business online, your content has to draw people in.

You don’t have to leave your business to the uncertainty of social media’s changing algorithms, and you don’t NEED a ton of likes.

TLDR: Build relationships, let go of vanity metrics, get grounded, lead from why.

All you really need is a message that resonates with the people you’re trying to help, enough that you can build relationships, and inspires your audience to want your service, more than they want to save money, explore their conciousess in the desert, or whatever other thing.
